Beti Bachao Beti padhao - Save the Daughter, Educate The Daughter Campaign Launched by The Government of India

Many such Indian women freedom fighters, sportspersons, scientists, social workers, actresses, and leaders have brought India's name to the corners of the country. Rani Lakshmibai, Ahilyabai Holkar, Rajmata Jijau, Anandibai Joshi, Savitribai Phule, Sarojini Naidu, Vijayalakshmi Pandit, Mother Teresa, Indira Gandhi ,Kalpana Chawla, Mary Kom, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Sakshi Malik, PV Sindhu There are names. and many more have made India famous all over the world. Women are making their mark in every field like politics, science, entertainment, sports, business, technology.

India is moving towards progress and this will be possible only because of the intellect and work of  Indians. But many times we forget the performance of such great people. Life is a basic human right and people are brutally snatching that right by killing female fetuses.

October 11 is International Girl Child Day celebrated all over the world.

 This day also raises awareness about the problems faced by girls and women such as gender discrimination, female feticide and education, health care and seeks to eradicate these problems.

 On this day, awareness is created about child marriage and atrocities against women. To deal with all such issues, the Government of India has launched the Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign)The message of  Save the Girl and Teach the Girl is being conveyed through this campaign.

                  "Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter"(Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign)is a campaign launched by the Government of India to prevent and educate female feticide. The campaign was launched on October 4, 2014 and was officially launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2015 in Panipat, Haryana.

campaign received a good response from all over the country. Sakshi Malik, who won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympic Games in August 2016, was made the brand ambassador of the "Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter" campaign. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the social media hash tag #SelfieWithdaughter to spread the “Save Daughter, Educate Daughter” campaign and appealed to the public to take a photo with his daughter and upload it using the hashtag #SelfieWithdaughter. This led to global popularity on the "Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter" campaign.
