Diwali

Diwali is another name for Deepavali. This festival is Dipotsav. Festival of Lights Numerous rows of  lamps are planted in the backyard. Hence the name of Festival is Deepavali.

The festival starts from Vasubars and ends with Diwali after the celebration of Bhaubij. This is a darling festival for all the old and the young, children and women. Diwali is said to be colorful. This is an opportunity to buy new clothes, jewelry, and household items. Another feature of this festival is the fireworks display and the taste of delicious Diwali Farala.

Our India is an agricultural country. Even our great culture teaches us to love everyone. That is why on this day of Vasubaras we worship cows and calves. He feeds them grass. Considering the use of cows for milking and the help of oxen for agricultural work, the cow is also gratefully worshiped.

Vasubaras

 The festival of Ashwin Krishna Dvadashis, i.e. Govatsadvadashis, Vasubaras is celebrated. Vasubaras means - Vasu means material (wealth)  Baras for it means Dvadashi. This day is also called Govats Dvadashi. On this day, cows are worshiped in the evening along with Calves.

                 Those who have cattle and calves at home they cook purana-varana on this day. The housewives of the house pour water on the feet of the cows. Then they carry turmeric-kumkum, flowers, Akshata and put a garland of flowers around their necks.  Puranpoli etc. are grown on banana leaves by waving (Niranjan) diyas and feeding the cow.

Dhantrayodashi

                  The worship of Dhana on the three evenings of Dhantrayodashi and the offering of Dhana-Jaggery to Naivedya is of great importance. On the same day a lamp is made and lit for Yama. The south direction is the direction of Yama, so on that day the flame of that lamp is made to the south.

Narak Chaturdashi  

                 Narak Chaturdashi  is the first day of the main Diwali. On this day, Abhyang used to get up in the morning and take a bath. Wear new clothes. This is a day to celebrate Devdarshan and celebrate Denali together. One of the legends of this day is that Lord Krishna killed the tyrant Narakasura and freed sixteen thousand girls from his captive school. That day, the destruction of the wicked and the joy of liberation is the reason to celebrate the joy behind this day.

  Lakshmi Pujan  

 The last two days of Ashwin and the first two days of  Karthika are the main four-day Diwali. Lakshmi Pujan is performed on the evening of Ashwin Vadyamavasya from house to house, from shops to gold and silver pedestals, from offices. The household worships gold coins and cash. The merchant worships all the books of account. Along with the worship of  Dhanalakshmi, Arogya Lakshmi (Kersuni)broom is also worshiped on that day. After Lakshmi Puja, happiness is celebrated with fireworks.

Diwali Padwa

                Padwa is one of the three and a half moments of  Balipratipada. Many new projects are launched on this day. On the day of  Padwa, the wife waves to her husband.  The husband gives the wife a gift of goods, ornaments or a sari.

Diwali around the World: Diwali is celebrated not only in India but also in various other parts of the world, where Indian Diaspora communities have settled. It is recognized as a public holiday in countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Malaysia, and Singapore. In these places, people of Indian descent come together to celebrate Diwali with the same enthusiasm and fervor as in India.
