Good day to you all.
Today, I'd like to discuss one of my Favourite Topic.

My Favourite Bird

My Favourite Bird Peacock

The Peacock is a Large, Lovely Bird. It is deep blue it is deep blue and green in color its neck is covered with soft ,lovely ,blue feathers The most attractive part of its body is however its long train of beautiful greenish feathers (The train is not the tail ) The feathers are spread into a gorgeous fan as the male peacock parades before the female we considerate it to be a proud bird and so we call a proud person 'as a peacock'

The female peacock is the peahen . unlike the male bird , it is a plain , brown bird it hasn’t the attractive train like male bird

We find peacock moving about in fields and picking grains and worms it does much harm to standing crops

The peacock is a great enemy of snakes . it is said that it kills snakes .

it is fond of the rainy season it gives out screams as it smells the coming of rain and starts dancing when it rains a dancing peacock is beautiful sight to watch

Indians consider the peacock a holy bird because Goddess Saraswati rides on a Peacock it is the National bird of India.

My Favourite Bird Parrot

The Parrot is a small familiar bird. It is Bright green in Colour and has a black ring around its neck. Its beak is Red strong and hooked. It has a pleasing appearance. The Parrot is famous for its talking ability. So people like to keep it as a pet. They catch young Parrots and train them. They teach them how to repeat their words. The Parrot listens to the words and gradually speaks them out. The African Grey Parrot is finest talker. Our Indian green Parrot cannot speak so well. It should be remembered that only Tame parrots can speak. Wild parrots only give out loud and harsh Screams.

It is kept in cage. We often see it swinging from the bar in a cage. The cat is a great enemy of Parrots. So a caged parrot must always be protected from Cats. The Caged Parrot, when taken out of the Cage, can't fly high. This is because it has lost the habit of flying for a long period.

The Parrot is fond of guavas and green chilies. It also likes to eat grams and Nuts.

My Favourite Bird Pigeon

The Pigeon or a Dove is a very common bird. It has a small head. plump body, long, pointed wings and Short legs. It is usually grey. There are White pigeons also. It has a shining, Coloured neck. It can puff out this neck. It has red eyes, Pink feet and Black marks on its wings.

People keep pigeons as a pets. They are very tame, Shy and timid. They are innocent. They are great favorites with people. people feed them with grains. They are pecking birds and pick up grains from their master's hands.

pigeons fly great distances. So they are used to carry messages. They were the 'Postmen' of ancient Kings and Queens.

The Pigeon is the Symbol of peace and goodwill. Pigeons are released in large numbers at the beginning of peace-meetings. Hundreds of Pigeon were released at the start of the Olympic games at Los Angeles.

The Owl is a grave-looking bird. It has big, round eyes which Shine at Night. It never winks. Its face is Sober and Flat. It Sits Silently at a place for long time and seems to be thinking So some people think that it is a wise bird. we call a stupid person an 'Owl' or ulloo which, in Hindi, means as Owl.

It is a Night bird. It can see well in the Dark. Mice and other small animals as well as birds are its food. By day it sleeps in a Dark place or a hollow of a tree. It likes to live alone. It hoots when it is happy.

It is not sociable bird. Nobody keeps it as a pet because it is not at all attractive and it is not possible to train it. Like the Crow, the owl is also a scavenger bird.

My Favourite Bird Cock

The Cock has a splendid curved tail. The tail has many long feathers. The male Cock has a beautiful red comb on its head. The Female hen does not have the Comb. So We can easily tell a Cock from a Hen. It has Strong legs with spurs on them. There are Cocks of different Colours Peacock. They cannot fly high.

They are domestic birds. People keep them for food. They feed on worms and bits of left-over food.

The Cock Crows very early in the morning. It is Villager's Clock. People get awakened at a Cock's 'Cock' a doodle-doo in Olden days, villagers depended on the Cock's crow to get up early in the morning and go out to work. The Cock is a friend of farmer because it eats insects that are harmful to Crops. His Crops are thus Protected.

Cocks often fight among themselves. Cock-fight is also a popular Sport in some places. People gather in large numbers to watch Cock-fights.

My Favourite Bird Crow

Crows are of different kinds such as the raven and the rook. The Indian crow is a large. Shiny, black bird. It is a very common bird in India. it gives out a loud and harsh cry which is very unpleasant. It is called cawing. It does not fly very high. It is a Cheeky, shrewd and cunning bird. It is a Clever thief. It has sharp eyes. It is always on the lookout for picking up our things stealthily. Nobody likes to keep it as a pet as it is very repulsive to look at.

The Crow builds a clumsy nest on trees. It uses dry twigs, wires, feathers, etc. to build it. It lays eggs in it and hatches them.

Although the crow looks ugly, It is very useful to us. It eats dirty rotting food and bodies of dead animals. So it is called a Scavenger bird. It helps us to keep our surroundings clean and healthy. We should be Thankful to the Crow for this useful Work.
