 Population Growth

When a country's population grows beyond its optimum level, it becomes a serious problem. India's rapidly growing population has created the following problems.

 Lack of facilities

Food shortage - If there were too many people in the family, it would be difficult for all of them to get proper nutrition. Because having more people increases the cost of subsistence. Population growth leads to food shortages. This is because population growth leads to water scarcity. As a result, agriculture does not get adequate amount of water and this has an effect on agricultural production.  As a result, inflation rises and it becomes difficult for the family to get enough food.

Due to the growing population, the government has difficulty in providing health and medical, sanitation, food and many other facilities to the people. Corruption is also a big part of the government system, but providing basic amenities to such a large population is not an easy task.  European or American countries provide basic amenities to their citizens very well because their population is much less than that of India. Sweden and Denmark are considered to be the happiest countries in the world. The United States is the third most populous country in the world, but it has a population of only 999.5million, which is lesser than India's population.

Education, Unemployment and Poverty

India's Growing population has resulted in massive unemployment. Not all People receive a good education, and those who Educated are unable to find work. There aren't as many jobs being produced in India as there are people, and the business environment isn't conducive.

Huge crowd / Urban migration

Young people run to the city as the village does not have enough career opportunities.  As a result, the city is overcrowded, the city lacks space, transportation, water supply system, the migrants live in very miserable conditions in unauthorized huts, they cannot afford good medical facilities, education and the cycle continues.

Environmental problems

This huge population living in a small area definitely affects the surrounding environment.  Mountains, trees are cut down to build buildings, roads.  As man cuts down trees for burning, for building houses and for furniture, it also affects the nature and hence disturbs the balance of the environment.  Deforestation causes soil erosion, pollution increases, rain does not fall on time.  Similarly, increasing population increases water pollution, air pollution. Water, soil, air are getting polluted. The natural habitats of wild animals have been destroyed.  Wild animals invade cities and create an atmosphere of fear. Rural areas are still cultivated hundreds of years old, with a lot of trees cut down, soil erosion, With the loss of fertile soil layer, the crop does not grow properly. There is also a lot of logging for burning.  Deforestation is causing a lot of pollution on earth.

 Growing Population Benefits
